SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY: Daniel "D.Royul" Cody
Daniel “D.Royul” Cody is the founder of Man of God Productions LLC, whose mission is to make music that will glorify God, build up the Kingdom of God, and speak to those who have never heard of Jesus Christ. Soon after he graduated from college with his degree in Record Production/Engineering, he founded Man of God Productions. Daniel believes that while God has given us talents and abilities to use as we're inclined, his desire is to make music that will come to heaven with the believers. There are many people who want to do the same, and Daniel wants to support as many people as the Lord leads to fulfilling those desires.

WHAT MAN OF GOD PRODUCTION DOES
Man of God Productions’ services include music production, creation, composition, as well as music engineering and mastering.
BUSINESS NICHE
Educating his clients.
Daniel explains: “I take the necessary time to produce a quality product for those who come to me for their services. Many of them are newer artists, or artists looking to take the next step in their careers and such. So they want to make sure they get the next level sound than what they currently had. However, on top of that, in the process of mixing, mastering, etc, I make sure to teach the client what and why I am doing what I am doing.
I've worked with people in the past that didn't have a clear knowledge of WHY you want to master your songs, HOW your mixes should even sound before mastering, or even how you SHOULD want your mix to sound as you're working on it. These kind of technical things that I have learned in my education are vital to making quality products, but I don't possess this knowledge just for my own sake. God's given me this wisdom to educate others as well, so along with making quality work that is also important to me.”
HOW MAN OF GOD PRODUCTIONS GOT STARTED
Daniel says: “The business got started in 2010 as I was looking to legitimize my services in the eyes of the public. Sure, people knew what I did, but in order to have a better presence, I needed to be incorporated and have a standalone business. I created the LLC and started working on my craft, networking through events in the New Jersey area, building relationships, and slowly, but surely the name and what I do started to get recognized as something worthwhile.”
GREATEST INFLUENCE
His granddad.
Daniel explains: “He is the physical image of what I refer to whenever I think of what level of manhood I am striving to achieve with my life. He has left such a legacy that men who are in their 80's today can fondly look back and say how much he has impacted their life. He founded men’s leadership groups. He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the army, a deacon in the church; he got his doctorate in education, was a college professor, and father to 3 kids by 1 woman. He was a great leader and was always willing to spend time with me. He passed when I was 7 years old, but that was enough to make a huge impact on my growing up.”
FAVORITE QUOTE
“I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:13.
IF HIS LIFE WERE A MOVIE
The Narrow Road
Daniel explains: “It would be called that because as that is what the Christian walk is called in the bible. I've been walking it since middle school, and it has been a very unique experience. I've had to stand firm in my faith and represent Christ, sometimes alone, for a very long time now and the road has been long and narrow. I always have known that it would pay off, but you've got to walk it out until the promises come. And even after they do, you've still gotta walk it...”
FAVORITE PASTIME
Daniel says: “It’s pretty hard to pick because I like doing so many things. I like working on music, but I also like working out. The gym is my place to just cleanse my mind and focus on something other than life. I also like playing basketball, cooking, and hanging out/relaxing with friends who enjoy lots of laughter.”
ADVICE TO YOUNGER SELF
Never focus on what the “now” looks like. Preparation takes time and things won't look as you know they're going to be. So, be not discouraged by whatever you believe you “lack” now. When God says move, move. When He doesn't, you don't. He will guide and direct you and His leading will ALWAYS be correct.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FUTURE
We can expect more credits on albums, ministry appearances and possibly new music from D.Royul.
Daniel says: “Never put a ceiling on God's plans.”
